Q. How do I send out parcels?
Glad you asked! By visiting and registering your business at www.merchants.scattr.io, you can set up your campaigns & schedule parcels here. If you need a hand setting up campaigns we will send across a welcome pack when you register your account. Or, just give one of the team a message and we’d be happy to help!
Q. Do I make the ads?
Yes - but if you don’t have one currently, don’t worry! Over on our merchants site we have our very own ad creator which you get unlimited access to with your subscription. Here you can create your 10 second ad with customisable templates, add your contact details, location, logo and any other message you’d like Scattr’rs to see. You'll end up with a 10 second ad that fits a mobile screen perfectly - easy peasy!
Q. How does a winner redeem their gift or Feel Good Freebie?
The important part! When you set up your account you will be asked to set up a redemption code which you will need to make known to your team. When the winner comes in store to collect their gift or use their feel good freebie you can simply tap this code into their phone to mark the prize as redeemed. Alternatively, if your team has a mobile device always on hand you can scan a QR code which is displayed on the user's phone.
Q. How can I keep up to date with how my campaign has performed?
Whether you’re an owner, redeemer, or campaigner of the account you will be able to track your opens, passes, views to your website and how many gifts or Feel Good Freebies have been won or claimed. This can be found at both www.merchants.scattr.io, as well as in the app. Go to Wallet > Merchants > View business > Select business > Campaigns.
Q. How do I increase my following for my Scattr account?
Upon signing up, the team can send over imagery with your branding & ours to post across your social channels. Alternatively, you can find our branding here if you’d like to create some yourself. The link http://onelink.to/g339xp will directly send your audience to their respective app store. We strongly recommend letting your following across all social channels know about your upcoming parcels - the more people you can get to watch your ads, the better!
Q. What kind of gift or Feel Good Freebie do I use? Is there a minimum value or prize amount?
It’s completely up to you! Launching a new menu? Try a gift of a main course for 2 and a Feel Good Freebie of complimentary starter when your purchase a main meal.
There is no minimum or maximum prize value - you could have 15 giveaways valued at £5 each, or a one off giveaway at £150 - as long as you think it’s a good enough prize to get people interested to watch your ads that’s the important part!
Q. How is the winner decided?
When setting up your campaign you will need to include odds which will determine the likelihood of winning the gift. As a rule of thumb we suggest using your gift value to determine your odds. For example gift values of £11-20 will have odds of 1:300, £21-30 will have odds of 1:400 etc. The winner is then picked at random, depending on the odds.
Q. What is the difference between the Owner, Campaigner & Redeemer team roles?
When you register your business you can add team members to manage your account in various ways.
An Owner is the overall owner of the account. They can create and approve campaigns, and redeem gifts and Feel Good Freebies. They're also the one who has control of the subscription.
A Campaigner is a member that can create campaigns and redeem gifts and Feel Good Freebies. They will not be able to approve campaigns, as this can only be done by the owner. There is no limit to the number of Campaigners within your team.
A Redeemer is a member that can only redeem gifts and Feel Good Freebies. There is no limit to the number of redeemers within your team.
Q. How do I get payment from any gift cards sold?
When you set up gift cards you will need to hook in your Stripe account, or create one if you don’t have an existing account with them. Each time a gift card is purchased the money will instantly be sent to your Stripe account. The fees will then be taken from there. Whether or not the gift card is used by the recipient, the money is yours. We do not hold any funds!
Q. How often do I receive payment?
Through your Stripe account you can set up to receive payments to your bank account either daily, weekly, or monthly.
Q. Do I get notified every time someone purchases a gift card?
You will receive an email from Stripe making you aware of the full amount of the gift card as well as a receipt from Scattr to outline any transaction fees. To access invoices detailing Stripe's fees, just log into your Stripe account & click on 'Businesses settings' followed by 'Documents'.
Q. If a customer wants a refund is this possible?
Yes - refunds can be made to customers through your Stripe dashboard which will refund the total amount. It is at Scattr's discretion whether their transaction fee is refunded. Stripe do not refund their transaction fee.
Q. Can you make returns through the gift card?
Balance can only ever be deducted from the original amount. If there is a case where a refund is needed on an item purchased through a gift card, it is up to the discretion of the merchant how they decide to credit the purchaser.
Q. How do I redeem a gift card?
Similar to your gifts & Feel Good Freebies. You can use your redemption code which is set up when registering your business, or by scanning a QR code which is displayed on the users phone if you have a mobile device in store. You simply add in the total value used in that particular transaction!
Q. Do I need to redeem?
Yes! It vital that you redeem the gift cards when they are spent in store - otherwise the user will be able to use a gift card multiple times.
Q. I’ve forgotten my redemption code, how do I get it?
Log in to your account via www.merchants.scattr.io and go to your settings. You will be able to see your redemption code under business details and contact details. You can also change your redemption code from here, too.
Q. Is there a limit on gift cards sold?
No - the more the merrier!
Q. Is there a minimum or maximum spend on gift cards?
Yes - gift cards can be bought from £5 to a maximum of £250.
Q. How long is the expiration?
That is down to you. When setting up your account you can select your gift cards to have an expiration of either 3, 6, 12 or 24 months. There is also an option for no expiration at all.
Q.I don’t currently sell have gift cards, can I use this?
